DUMFRIES and GALLOWAY is an area of great natural beauty with much to offer the tourist and is ideally located on major roads leading from both North and South.   The county town of Dumfries is situated on the A75 a short distance from the top of the M6 motorway.

 

DALBEATTIE - a Gaelic term meaning “valley of the silver birch” is a town with some 4,000 inhabitants.   Many older buildings are constructed of grey, hand-hewn granite extracted from local quarries giving the town a character of its own.   The town has a variety of small businesses catering for all your holiday needs.

 

GLENEARLY CARAVAN PARK is situated on the fringe of the town and is reached by the A711 from runs between Dumfries and Dalbeattie.  It is an easy 10 minute walk to the Town centre.
